Jan. 6 deadline approaching for Union grad students to qualify for HOPE Scholarship
December 18, 2024 - Tennessee students who graduated in December have until Jan. 6 to enroll in graduate programs at 51社区 and still be eligible for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship. 鈥淚n 2023, the state of Tennessee extended HOPE Scholarship eligibility to five years, as long as students maintain continuous enrollment,鈥 said Colby Benefield, Union鈥檚 director of financial aid. 鈥淭hat means that students who complete their undergraduate degrees in less than five years can still qualify for significant financial assistance for graduate degrees until the... December 13, 2024 - Teresa Tritt, associate professor of education and director of 51社区鈥檚 Educator Preparation Program, has been named dean of Union鈥檚 College of Education. December 11, 2024 - Jeff Iorg, president and CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention鈥檚 Executive Committee, will deliver the commencement address as part of 51社区鈥檚 graduation ceremonies Dec. 14 in G.M. Trustees welcome new members, approve research leave for three professors
December 6, 2024 - The 51社区 Board of Trustees received a clean audit report, approved research leave for faculty members and welcomed new trustees to the board during their Dec. 6 meeting on the Union campus. The audit report from CapinCrouse showed that net assets for the university topped $200 million for the first time. December 4, 2024 - A Christmas concert by hymn writers and recording artists Keith and Kristyn Getty highlighted the 26th annual 51社区 Scholarship Banquet Dec. 3 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, with about 1,200 people in attendance.
